Why is this the highest rated movie? It's literally just a documentary about their tour.. BTS fans are really something else 🤣

I just found out that BRING THE SOUL (2019) is the #1 top rated Korean movie on MyDramaList. It's a music documentary about BTS and it truly highlights their hard work as performers, their sincerity as influential artists, and their emotions as ordinary humans. So I'm sharing the leader Kim Namjoon's ending monologue, which is profoundly beautiful: “Well, I’m not really sure. Because... How should I put it? Love. When you listen to music, most lyrics talk about love. You know, they say, ‘Love is all we need.’ ‘I always have love in my heart.’ They always talk about love whether it’s in Korea or abroad. It’s a great message, a necessary message. But people tend to become callous of it. I often wonder, ‘What exactly is this love that they speak of?’ It’s like if you constantly mull over a word you’re familiar with, and suddenly the word seems unfamiliar. Taking my name as an example, if I repeat Kim Namjoon over and over again, it suddenly sounds very awkward, you know? ‘Why is my name Kim Namjoon?’ ‘Why am I Kim Namjoon? What does it mean?’ These thoughts just pop into my mind. But I think we need these thoughts. To be honest, I don’t know if I’m doing a good job at delivering the message of LOVE YOURSELF. All viewers of this documentary about BTS are their fans, so the ratings are high, just like any other documentaries and variety shows on MyDramaList. Documentary movies are obviously different and more loved since they have no plot like normal movies; they're raw and genuine about real people. Other movies have 8 ratings, which is already the standard high rating in MDL, and some considered masterpieces only have 7 ratings because not everyone likes them or they're not someone's preferred genre. Just accept the fact that everyone has different opinions and that's okay, instead of insulting the viewers.

You have to buy access to it on the platform called Weverse. I believe most of their shows/movies are there😊 Hope you find it, if you haven't already.

In my opinion, a documentary shouldn't be the highest rated movie. I mean, we're here for East Asian movies/series. It's just so unnecessary.
